The MyPass Gateway utilizes a set of web services hosted on a Microsoft IIS instance in order to allow incoming requests from the MyPass Password Manager to the on-premise customer credential repositories. Due to this, all communications are in essence web requests, which accounts for small data sizes and highly responsive communications. As such, the MyPass Gateway server does not need to be more than a mid-tier specification and does not require fast storage.
